My Damn Butterfly, one of Chicago's most ecclectic a cappella choirs, has been performing in Chicago since 2000. The five-woman ensemble has been billed at many of the city's top music venues, including The HotHouse, The Hungry Brain, The Hideout, and The Beat Kitchen. They have also appeared at such feature events as The Bucktown Arts Festival, The 2nd Annual Holy Family Parish Jazz Festival, and the Chicago Cultural Center. In their six years together, My Damn Butterfly has cultivated their unique approach to music by bringing their diverse repetoire and distinctly original interpretations out of traditional choir venues to audiences that are as varied as their music. The group has just completed their first full length CD. 17 songs from 7 countries are featured.
